English language challenges

Hi mates, today I write about my English class at the university. First of all, when I start the career I pass directly to third level of the four that exist in english in my faculty. In this level we should know write this blogs quickly. But, it was so difficult for me. I was not fast and the vocabulary that I was handling at that time was insufficient. So, I used excessively the translator. Today I could write without looking for every word, but I like learn or remember some expressions so I complement the job with the translator. So, I feel that it has been a good methodology to learn english even in a self-taught way.

On the other hand, I am pleased with the oral practices, because I learn new vocabulary with the talks in pair. I discover in that occasions some difficulties in grammar for me so I need review some modal verbs and auxiliaries. But in general I can understand the ideas and explain my thoughts.

Maybe, if I would use my english out of class, probably I would know more vocabulary today, but in fact I don´t practice, hardly ever I try to learn text in english. And it is because I have problems to the vocabulary specific and some times even with the daily vocabulary. So, I will try this summer, when I have a lot of time, include more vocabulary practices.

Changes to my study programme

If I could change my study programme, I will start to change the workload in the first year because I think it is excessive and we, the students can´t learn or process all the contents. Also, due to the time in class and all the homework, we don´t sleep enough, which is necessary to be healthy and to be focus. Furthermore, I will like to have more workspaces in the faculty because currently, the spaces available are full of classmates. I would like a workspace outdoor, where are nice stay in hot days.
Another way, about the curriculum, I think is necessary to add a course related to participatory design because it is essential for architecture and urban planning proyects. Also, I would like that the course about sustainability design was more extensive, maybe in two semesters and not only one. I would like too have a bigger coffee shop.

Summer Plans

Hi mates! I'm very happy because this summer I will travel with my family to the south of Chile. We didn't have family holidays at least the last two years, because the economy of the house wasn´t stable. But this year we know that we could have better holidays and we choose to do a tour from Chiloe and travel toward the north, visiting a lot of cities and places.
Also, I will exercise work out, I will visit friends that I can´t see in class period.
